Compress PDF

Shrink an oversized PDF so it can be attached to an email or uploaded to a system. This tool works by converting every page to a JPEG image in your browser, so it reduces scanned files well, but the text in the new file cannot be selected or searched.

Your files are not uploaded anywhere — every step runs in the browser on your own device. No file is sent to the Office.in.th server or to any third party, so it is suitable for documents with personal data or internal company documents (in line with PDPA guidance). When you close this page, the files disappear from memory immediately.

Good to know before you start: this tool shrinks the file by turning every page into a lower-quality JPEG image, so the text in the new file cannot be selected, copied or searched and any existing digital signature will no longer be valid. It suits scanned files or files to attach to an email, but not original documents whose text must stay searchable. If the result is not smaller than the original, it will not be offered for download.

    Frequently asked questions

How does this tool reduce file size?

The system draws each page as an image, saves it as a JPEG at a resolution and quality based on the selected level, then assembles them back into a new PDF. Everything runs in the browser, so this is lossy compression that sacrifices some detail.

Why can't I select or search the text in the new file?

Because every page is converted to an image, the text is no longer actual characters. If you need to keep the text, use the original file or a program that compresses without converting pages to images. Any existing digital signature in the file will also no longer be valid.

Why can't I download some files?

Files that contain only text or are already well compressed may become larger once converted to images. The system skips them and tells you the sizes, so you do not end up with a worse file than the original.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. Every step runs in your browser and no file is uploaded. The file size must not exceed 50 MB.
