Farm Box
The smart farm controller

Automatic watering by soil moisture, monitor and control from your phone, keeps working when the internet drops.

The product is in development. You can register your interest and apply to join the field test. The name and specifications may change.

The problems Farm Box sets out to solve

Designed around real watering problems on farms and in greenhouses.

!

Having to walk out and switch the water on and off yourself

You have to be at the plot every morning and evening, and cannot water when you are busy or in another district.

!

Watering by feel

Some plots dry out fast and others stay soggy. Watering them all the same wastes water and leaves plants uneven.

!

Forgetting to turn the pump off

The pump runs too long, wasting electricity, flooding the plot or damaging the pump.

!

Unreliable internet on the farm

Systems that depend on the internet all the time stop working as soon as the signal drops.

Planned core features

This list is a development goal. Actual features may change based on test results.

Automatic watering by soil moisture

Set a moisture threshold and a time window. When the soil stays drier than the threshold for several reads in a row, the box starts watering by itself, with a delay so it does not water again too soon.

Per-zone watering schedule

Set the times and days to water each zone. It runs on the box itself and does not wait for commands from the internet.

Keeps working when the internet drops (offline-first)

Schedules, thresholds and watering all live in the box. Readings taken while offline are stored and sent to the system when it comes back online.

Pump and valve safety

A maximum run time per watering, a safe (fail-safe) mode when something is abnormal, and an emergency stop button on the box.

Easy sensor wiring with colour codes

Sensor and output ports are clearly labelled and colour-coded. Match the cable colours, no complicated setup.

Zone-card mobile app

See soil moisture, the last watering time and the next round, and tap to water now, all on one screen. Colour-coded status is easy to read.

Alerts via LINE OA / push

Get notified when the soil is unusually dry, the box goes offline, or a sensor has a problem.

Multiple users on one farm

Roles for the farm owner, manager and workers, so each person can see and control only what they are allowed to.

How it works

1

Install the box

Mount the box near the plot and connect the sensors and valves by colour code.

2

Scan the QR code to add it in the app

Scan the QR code on the box, pick your WiFi and wait for the box to come online.

3

Choose a crop template

Name each zone, pick the crop and start from the recommended values. You can adjust them later.

4

It looks after itself

The box waters by moisture and schedule. You check the results and get alerts on your phone.

Simulation of how it works — not real data

Simulate how the system works

Try it and see how Farm Box decides: watering by itself when the soil is dry, schedules that run on the box, and the box keeps working when the internet drops. Every number comes from an assumed calculation in your browser, uses simulated time that runs faster than real time, and is not a measurement from a real farm or device.

By design, the schedule, watering by soil moisture and the pump/valve interlock runon the box itself so the box keeps working when the internet drops, while alerts come from the server. In the simulation the watering threshold is 30%, the target 55%, the maximum run time per round 45 minutes and the rest before the next automatic watering 90 minutes (sample values for demonstration, adjustable in the real system).

    Smart analytics

This section is a concept planned as a follow-on to Farm Box. It is not available today, and details may change based on test results.

Weather forecast for the farm's coordinates

We plan to connect forecast data from the Thai Meteorological Department (rain, temperature, humidity, wind) for the farm's coordinates, combined with readings from the sensors in the plot.

Postpone watering when rain is forecast

Automatically postpone or skip a watering round when rain is forecast, and adjust the amount of water by the plants' evapotranspiration (ET₀, following FAO guidance).

    Anomaly detection

For example, the pump runs but soil moisture does not rise (a leaking pipe or blocked emitter), or a sensor reading is stuck.

    AI summaries in Thai

Daily or weekly summaries, answers to questions based on your own farm data, and early warnings before problems occur.

    Safety principles

    • The AI never controls the pump directly. It can only adjust schedules within the limits the farmer has set.
    • “Suggest” mode is the default and waits for you to confirm; “Automatic” mode is something the farmer turns on.
    • If forecast data is unavailable, the box follows its normal schedule.
    • The safety systems (maximum run time, pump/valve interlock, low tank water) stay inside the box as before.

    Safety in use

    • A maximum run time per watering prevents forgetting to turn off the pump or valve.
    • The box enters a safe mode when a sensor or the system is abnormal.
    • High-power pumps are switched through a contactor cabinet, never connected directly to the box.
    • For 220V electrical work, we recommend a qualified electrician.

    Data and PDPA

    • Connections between the box, the server and the app are encrypted.
    • Farm data is visible only to farm members according to the roles assigned.
    • The form below asks for your consent before collecting your name and contact details, which are used only to send news and get back to you about Farm Box.
    • You can ask us to delete your data at any time through our contact channels.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need an internet connection?+

Not all the time. Watering schedules and soil-moisture watering run on the box itself. If the internet drops, the box keeps working, stores the data and sends it to the system when it is back online. You only need internet to view readings or send commands from your phone.

Which water pumps does it work with?+

We are finalising the specification for connecting to 220V mains pumps and solar pumps. High-power pumps are switched through a contactor cabinet (pump control unit). Details will be announced once testing is complete.

    How much does it cost?+

The price has not been announced and the product is not on sale yet. We recommend registering your interest to get news first.

How many rai (acres) can it cover?+

Designed in 3 models: S for up to 1 rai, M for 1–10 rai, and L for 10 rai or more (1 rai = 1,600 m²). Details may change based on test results.

    Can I install it myself?+

The goal is easy installation: connect the cables by port colour code and add the box in the app by scanning its QR code. For 220V wiring and high-power pumps we recommend a qualified electrician.

    Is my data safe?+

Connections between the box, the server and the app are encrypted. Farm data is visible only to farm members according to their role, and we ask for your consent under the PDPA (Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act) before collecting your contact details.

Where does the weather forecast come from?+

The plan is to connect to the Thai Meteorological Department's forecast API using the farm's coordinates (still in development, not yet available, and it does not imply any official partnership). If forecast data cannot be fetched, the box simply waters according to the normal schedule stored in the box and keeps working.

    Can I buy it now?+

Not yet. The product is in development. For now you can only register your interest and apply to join the field test. The product name and specifications may change.
